The project consists of the construction of a single storey Community Hub Building and associated infrastructure
(Servicing/Road/Carparking/ext. Bin storage).
The Hub Building will be a steel framed, curtain walling and panelled construction and will comprise the following:-
• 2 ‘Incubator ‘Units to provide serviced accommodation for start-up enterprises, with capabilities for future mezzanine level insertions.
• 1 ‘Studio’ for multi-purpose Community usage (for Clubs/societies)
• 1 Gymnasium to serve Community/Clubs
• 1 Centre manager’s office
Each will have standalone welfare facilities included in their footprints, connecting to the Public Storm and Foul systems.
It is the intention to design the Centre to BREEAM Excellent/Passivhaus standard. We will be including Photovoltaic panels on the roof.
