Barrack Street House Nos. 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32: – 2) Reconstruction of new floors (with radon barrier and insulation systems), new party walls, internal walls, rear walls and remaining gable walls (with insulation), replacement rooves substantially following the existing profiles (with insulation, separation); 3) Complete internal refit; 4) Improvements to front elevations (improved accessibility, level entry, configuration); 5) New party walls to private open spaces at the rear of units and all associated siteworks.
26 Jun 2023: Carlow County Council are hopeful part two of the tender, the construction of eight units, will be published and awarded at the end of quarter three or start of quarter four this year.
The proposed restoration and redevelopment of numbers 25 – 32 Barrack Street Carlow which shall include all necessary work to restore the building facades, internal and external renovation and reconstruction, site works including adjacent public footpath and connection to services. The proposal also includes the demolition and partial demolition of numbers 22 – 24 Barrack Street and the creation of an open public space at number 22 & 23.
