Proposed material change of use and material alterations to existing retail units to provide a total of 6 self-contained flats for short term accommodation use.

PERMISSION:
(i) change of use of 5 no. existing vacant retail ground floor units (Class 2) within the existing structure at Riverside Shopping Centre, Shannon Street, Borrisokane, Co Tipperary to 8 no. residential apartments comprising 5 no. two bedroom units and 3 no three bedroom units,
(ii) minor external works are proposed as part of the subject works. The external works are limited to fenestration and repositioning of some access points to apartments. The minor external alterations will be consistent with the existing character of the building and the wider area,
(iii) internal alterations to facilitate the change of use,
(iv) separation of the existing open space to the west of the subject site to create an area of communal private open space for use of the residents of the 8 no. apartments and
(v) all ancillary works necessary to facilitate the development
