Permission to provide replacement lock gates. The Eglinton Canal and the Lock Gates are protected structures under RPS 2206, Quays, Piers & Locks, including Gates. The proposed works will consist of dismantling the existing lock gates, assessment of the existing steel components, restoration of the existing ground paddle valves, restoration of existing lock gate anchors, cill and supporting walls, supply and installation of replacement lock gates and removal of temporary concrete stop logs.
