06 April 2025: Louth County Council issued a positive opinion on the revised Large-scale Residential Development. Specifically, the council stated that: “The proposals as outlined constitute a reasonable basis for moving to a planning application.”
This means the council did not reject the revised concept at this stage and sees it as sufficiently developed and potentially compliant enough to proceed to the formal application stage.
22 Oct 2024: Planning permission was refused because Uisce Éireann was not able to provide an effective wastewater treatment system. The local treatment system is expected to have the necessary capacity by 2027
