A new library/community building in Ratoath Town has been a priority for Meath County Council for almost twenty years. Ratoath Town has a population of 10,077 residents as per the CSO population census 2022. The new library in Ratoath will deliver a full range of services to a whole generation of new users. At present there is no Meath County Council library service based in the town of Ratoath. It is proposed that the library service will deliver on a wide range of local, regional and national community, cultural and social initiatives in addition to delivering the core information and recreational services associated with the modern public library. The development of a library offers an opportunity to develop a landmark building with a civic and community space. It is also proposed to develop an amenity area and 6-9No age friendly housing units It is envisaged that the multi-disciplinary team appointed will consist of the following skills shown below. While other disciplines may be required occasionally for the delivery of a successful service, these will be appointed as and when the need arises.
