Permission for development consisting of; End of waste activities within the footprint of the existing quarry, where same activities include
1) Acceptance, processing and recovery of in-coming inert waste material arising from construction and demolition activity, comprising concrete, bricks or other such similar material, to become a certified product for reuse in construction related industries
2) The maximum annual intake of incoming waste material shall not exceed of 24,500 tonnes
3) The processing will include standard crushing and screening using the existing quarry plant
4)The site infrastructure for the proposed End of Waste activities will be limited to bays comprising storage and processing
5) All ancillary site development works. The proposed development seeking planning permission will require a ‘Waste Facility Permit’ for the acceptance and processing of the in-coming waste, which will be sought through a separate application to Monaghan County Council. The proposed development seeking planning permission will require registration with Environmental Protection Agency for End of Waste recovery under the National End-of-Waste Decision EoW-N001/2023 criteria.
