Construction of extension to the Filter Gallery. Construction of an improved sludge processing press building. Construction of a new Chemical Storage Building. Replacement of Existing tanks, Construction of new Wastewater recovery tank, Construction of a new ESB substation. Improvement to boundaries, landscaping and all associated site works at the existing Killybegs WTP.

Application:
Ten year duration. The development will consist of upgrading the existing water treatment plant to an increased capacity of 7,400 m3/day as part of improvements to the regional water supply scheme. Previous planning permission 17/50164 refers. The development will comprise the following: construction of an extension to the filter gallery in the existing water treatment plant building.
Construction of an improved sludge processing system including removal and replacement of existing tanks.
Demolition of the existing sludge press building and construction of a new sludge press building.
Construction of a new building to accommodate existing and proposed chemical storage units.
Construction of new wash-water recovery system including removal and replacement of existing tanks, construction of a new ESB substation, construction of new underground treated water contact tank and treated water storage reservoir, the provision of temporary process units to facilitate construction of the new works, together with service connections, improvement to boundaries, landscaping and all associated site works.
