The subject matter of this application relates to the proposed construction of a 3-storey extension (to be known as the North East Block) to the existing hospital to the accommodate the new extension works. The proposed extension will comprise three stories spanning from Level 00 to Level 2 whereby Level 0 will tie in with the existing hospital’s ground floor main entrance. The extension will include: A new Angio day care unit, including a recovery area, a nurses station and other supporting accommodation, including a new entrance lobby at Level 00; and new staff welfare facilities and associated administration offices at Level 01; and New plant area at level 02. Connections with the remainder of the existing hospital at Level 00 by way of a protected corridor, providing a link between the existing and proposed sections of the development.
