22 Aug 2016:

Developers are preparing to attract 700 new jobs to Belfast city centre with the creation of what they describe as world-class office space.

The plan is to strip out the famous Boots building on Donegall Place after a consortium bought 82,000 sq ft of retail and office building last year.

Once complete, more than 700 office and retail workers could be employed within the scheme.

The design will include an open-plan, atrium-style reception lobby and roof terraces with views across the city and beyond.

A total of 65,000 sq ft of office space has been earmarked for development in the five-storey building, which will be accessed from Fountain Street at the rear of the building.

And there will be an additional 37,000 sq ft of retail space on the ground and first floor.
