Design, supply and installation works contract for Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) installations comprising construction of cross laminated timber external and internal walls, floors and roofs complete with all necessary fixings, at the proposed 10 Bed Mental Health Community Rehabilitation Residence at Owenacurra, Midleton, Co. Cork for the Health Service Executive. The CLT Specialist Contract will be novated from the Employer and the Specialist, to the selected Main Contractor and the Specialist. The proposed building is circa 1,340 m2 in area comprising three fire compartments and will consist of four interconnecting sections laid around a secure internal courtyard. As part of a seperate enabling works contract, the site will be cleared to formation level. Refer to the works requirements for the nature and extent of the Works.
Permission for the demolition to the existing mental health unit with associated outbuildings (totaling 1119.5m2) and construction of new singe storey 10 bed mental health community rehabilitation residence (1220.1m2). Permission is also sought for associated 17 no onsite parking spaces:, external heat pumps and waste management compound, back-up generator enclosure, sheltered 10 no. bicycle parking spaces, external signage, and all other associated landscaping and site works.
