The proposed ground floor of the Discount Retail Store consists of a retail sales area, baking preparation area, freezer, chiller, storage areas, operations office, plant room and staff/customer wc facilities. The proposed first floor consists of raised plant deck area open to the ground floor storage area, staff WC/shower welfare facilities, staff canteen, meeting room and IT room. The external loading bay area is not covered.
For a Discount Foodstore Supermarket with ancillary off-licence sales at National Learning Network Centre Rehabcare, Killeshin Castlecomer Road, Graiguecullen, Carlow, Co. Carlow & Co. Laois, R93 E7W1. Parts of the site are located in Co. Carlow and Co. Laois, with a concurrent planning application for each area to be lodged to Carlow County Council and Laois County Council. The proposed development comprises
1) The demolition of existing National Learning Network Centre Rehabcare building and site clearance
2) The construction of a part single part two storey Discount Foodstore (with ancillary off-licence use) with mono-pitch roof measuring c. 2,305 sqm gross floor space with a net retail sales area of c. 1,499 sqm
3) Construction of associated car and cycle parking with site access from Killeshin Castlecomer Road and
4) Provision and renewal replacement of boundary treatments, free standing and building mounted signage, free standing trolley bay, refrigeration and air conditioning plant and equipment, hard and soft landscaping, public lighting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, roof mounted solar panels, ESB substation, drainage, utility and services infrastructure and connections, and all other associated and ancillary development and works above and below ground level.
