Kinbrace Limited intend to apply for permission for development at this site in the townland of Ballysumaghan, Srananagh, Co. Sligo. The development will consist of an enclosed battery energy storage system compound on c. 2.04 hectares. The development will consist of
– Up to 38 battery units comprising of containers comprising of battery cells within modules and ancillary equipment
– An individual unit transformer at each container with some additional ancillary equipment
– An electrical substation and all associated infrastructure and works;
– A control room facility and associated works
– A new vehicular entrance to local road and all associated internal access tracks
– Attenuation drainage pond to the north west of the site
– A temporary site compound and all associated works (to be located to south east of the site)
– Associated electrical cabling and ducting works facilitating the connection of proposed electrical substation to the adjacent Srananagh transmission station; and
– All associated site development, lighting, landscaping, security fencing, boundary treatment works above and below ground and all associated ancillary infrastructure.
