Permission for development of sports grounds of 2.254 hectares (5.569 acres) at Distillery Road, Dublin 3. The development will consist of: the repositioning and resurfacing of the existing grass pitch and associated training area to provide a synthetic all-weather surface; associated fencing and ball-stopping nets; provision of 6 No. 16 metre high floodlighting standards; alterations, reconfiguration and improvements to the existing car park, including the provision of an additional 6 no. car parking spaces (including 2 No. mobility impaired spaces) and bicycle parking; the widening of the existing vehicular entry point off Distillery Road (from 4.34m to 4.9m) to allow for two-way traffic (including the provision of new gates); and all other associated site excavation, infrastructural and site development works above and below ground. The applicant also seeks to remove the condition in Permissions Reg.Ref 0003/94 (Condition No. 3) and 0165/93 (Condition No.3) respectively, that restrict the use of the football pitch, running track, pavilion and stores to students of Belvedere College, precluding the letting out or rental of the facilities for use by other organisations.
