The redevelopment of the former AIB building, works are to include the following:
(i) Alterations to and partial demolition of the existing building including the demolition of the rear (north) two storey annexe and north facade, the demolition of single-storey outbuildings and the single storey pop-out structure on the east elevation, the removal of some external and internal walls/partitions at the ground and first floor levels;
(ii) Modifications to the existing building elevations including the erection of advertising banners, external lighting, signage and automatic ticket dispensing machine;
(iii) The construction of a three-storey extension to the rear (north) elevation including a terrace on east and north elevations at second-floor level;
(iv) The change of use of the building from a bank to a multi-purpose community-use building to include film screening/theatre space, function/event space, flexible office/meeting/workshop spaces, and ancillary uses including office/reception area, storage areas, and catering facilities including kitchen and service area for food/beverages
(v) The installation of street furniture, railings, and landscape works, and
(vi) All other associated development works.
