The proposed works include the removal of the leaking side aisle roofs and to replace same with new pitched slate roofs to match main nave roof, to renew existing main nave roof, to upgrade the belfry tower and to construct new stone parapet details and roof to same(thereby increasing its height slightly per drawings), to upgrade existing windows, to install new exit door at northern elevation, to remove the non-original flat ceiling of the nave, to carry out minor alterations to achieve accessible toilet accommodation, to upgrade the paint work finishes and to install new flooring and to install 2 no. matching windows in existing side chapels (with roof height to same increased and profile modified), together with associated works per application documents. This Church is a protected structure (Protected Structure Ref. 02400432 in Roscommon Development Plan) and is on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage(N.I.A.H. Ref No 318).
