A design team has been appointed for the construction of a new €25-million STEM building at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.

The new 5,500 square-metre building will include labs, multi-purpose rooms, lab-support rooms, seminar rooms and classrooms.

The new facility will include a ‘live building’ in which engineering students can study the performance of power, water, ventilation, lighting, heating and other systems. The building will be located on the institute’s existing Dublin Road campus
