The overall development proposes the reconfiguration of the existing talbot mall to include the amalgamation of retail unit 9 and 10 and part of existing mall to form an enlarged retail unit a (of c. 140 square metres) with new glazed shopfront, the amalgamation of retail units 6 and 7 and part of existing mall to form an enlarged retail unit b (of c. 100 square metres) with new glazed shopfront, and the amalgamation of retail units 2, 3, 4, 5, 13, 14b and a portion of the existing mall to form an enlarged retail unit c (of c. 950 square metres) with new glazed shopfront. No works are proposed to other retail units within the mall. Additional internal works proposed include aesthetic internal improvements to public mall circulation area including new floor and ceiling finishes and the creation of new female, male and accessible public toilet facilities for mall customers. Proposed modifications to the external elevations include a new external fire exit door to be added from new retail
