The Construction of a new mechanical and electrical plant room to service a new relocated Opthalmology operating theatre within the existing hospital accommodation. The development consists of a new mechanical service room at first floor level and electrical service room at second floor level and associated site works. Both levels are to be accessed via an external staircase, access to which is to be restricted. The existing hospital complex includes protected structures PS 248 (south infirmary), PS 824 (Rocksavage structure), PS 1002 (post box). The proposed development does not include any works to these protected structures.
