The refurbishment and conservation repair of the convent building to include alterations to internal layout, removal of the external fire escape, demolition of single storey lean-to stores attached to the existing kitchen, roof repairs and renewal and re-pointing of external masonry. It is also proposed to demolish the existing laundry building at the rear of the convent and to extend the existing car parking over this area with associated landscaping. The existing convent, chapel and entrance are listed as protected structures in Wexford Town and environs development plan 2009-2015-rps no; wbc0282, rps. No. Wbc0279 and rps. No. Wbc0283 respectively
