Construction of a new 110kv control building at the existing substation and all associated electrical and civil works, including the following: local extension to the existing substation compound, including palisade fencing, and associated civil works/ reconfiguration fo the existing vehicular entrance onto the r555, including a laydown area within the land-holding; landscaping and site boundary improvement works to facilitate the reconfigured entrance and provide screening to the proposed control building; installation of a duplicate battery system, 2 bay conductor uprates disconnector to be replaced, protection upgrades on 2 bays, the replacement of 4 110kv circuit breakers (cbs) and the installation of lightning protection monopoles. A natura impact statement (nis) accompanies this planning application. All to the proposed development in located to the north of the existing substation compound, on lands owned by the electricity supply board (esb).
